LIDAR
Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) is an active remote sensing technology that utilizes a pulsed laser scanner to measure the distance between the scanner and an object. In geomatics that object is the earths surface. Hundreds of millions of measurements are logged and georeferenced during a LiDAR flight, and the data that results (a point cloud) is processed by TERRAbyte into an array of ready-to-use mapping and geospatial products to customer specifications.
